Isn't TruthQuest History just another booklist? I already have lots of booklists.
We'll let a TQH-user answer: "I have tons of booklists too. I like them. I even pore over them delightedly. But I couldn't do without my TruthQuest History. It is much more than just booklists. I've read books from booklists and felt so disconnected from the reality of what was happening. How does it relate to what life was like? How does it relate to other people/events of the time? How does everything tie together?" "TruthQuest History gives a format to address this problem. Instead of books floating about in space, with TQH we are firmly grounded in basic worldview and philosophical issues. TruthQuest History helps us sort through the issues of the time, locating the events and people we read about into a 'map' of belief and allowing us to see the 'big picture' behind all the biographies and literature." "It really is almost effortless, the grounding in these beliefs. My ten-year-old son in particular is really responding and soaking up all these issues, and I am beginning to see him apply what he has learned. At ten! This is priceless! The booklists are terrific, too, and whenever Michelle lists a book as 'don't miss,' we've never been disappointed with it. " (M.D., Iowa) |
